What time did I get up? Hmm. About 7.30 I think. Another crap sleep.

Globetrotters for 10. A couple of scenes with Andrea to do. Within a few hours we find ourselves behind schedule again. I think it's normal but it was the only thing that I stressed about. I always felt as if I was battling against the clock. I would constantly give deadlines to get shots done and fair play to Craig, Alun and the rest of the crew they never complained. To my face anyway. Andrea did her thing. She brought a real sweetness and innocence to Seren. I liked her performance a lot. We bid our farewells.

Owain Jones popped down to play the role of Bob The Magpie. What a guy. I wish Owain was around more this week. He's a really funny and good natured lad. He would have made people laugh and just raised morale. His is only a small role but is one of my favourites. Owain brought the humour that I had envisioned out. Really fun scene. During one outtake I witnessed Dorien just completely break down in hysterics for the first time. I'll but that on the dvd.

After that we headed to Glyntaf crem. I had permission to shoot there but when we got there the gates were locked. Disaster. They closed 15 mins before we got there. Damn. I had to improvise. I made the decision to move the action to the graveyard by the art college. St Mary's church I think? I dunno. Whatever. We set up. Just about to roll when the vicar turns up and starts shouting at people. Proper going off on one. I can understand to a point. We didn't ask permission. I understand. I have tried on at least three occasions to do that but there was never an answer but whatever. What I don't like is the way he started going off. He was a twat basically. Very uppity. Didn't talk to us. Didn't ask us to leave. He threatened us in that way that only vicars can do. I will call the police etc… I'd had my fill with the police this week.

I've only ever met one vicar that I've liked. The rest have been really horrible. This one was the worst. There are ways of talking to people. It's no wonder people are not attending the churches. Most of the vicars are twats. This is why we decided not to get married in a church. So judgemental… So I had to improvise a second time. We shot the scene on the common rather than by a grave. It worked well enough. Said goodbye to Dixie. Did well for us.

I'd been looking forward to the next scene with a mixture of excitement and dread. The Man That Knows. The man with the answers. A long scene with a lot of dialogue. But… we are shooting at dusk. Light changes fast. Very little margin for mistakes. David Prince played the Man That Knows. We auditioned David at the Wales Millennium Centre and we knew straight away that we would want to hire him. He proved why tonight. I don't think he missed a single word. This is no mean feat. He was given a lot of dialogue. He had to tell a story. He told that story as the sun came down. We had time for one take and one take is what it took. Fantastic.

Finished the scene at 20.40. That's it. Home. The crew went nuts. Sleep!
